Mt. Brave
Mt. Brave was established in 2007. Its name is a dedication to the pioneering spirit of those who in the 19th century inhabited the difficult mountainous terrain of Mt. Veeder and homage to the indigenous population of Wappos (the brave). The vines are located in the Mt. Veeder AVA, in the Mayacamas mountain range, Napa Valley, northwestern California. The vineyards are at a height of 400 to 550 meters, in places with a slope of up to 30 degrees. They rise above the fog at the northern end of the appeal and receive more from the early morning sun, and less sea influence from San Pablo Bay. A thin layer of clay soil with large and small stones stimulates the vines to develop their root system. Minerals and nutrients are insufficient and as a result, the grains are small, with an intense taste and ripe tannins. Mt. Brave makes wines with amazing saturation and complexity.
All wines of the same producerCabernet Sauvignon
This is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth - a natural crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. From its origins in Bordeaux, this vine has successfully spread to almost every wine growing country in the world. Cabernet Sauvignon wines always demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, excellent tannic structure and aromas of black berries and spices.
