Viotti
Филтър
The Viotti family of seven generations has a passion for vines and wine in Castel Rocchero, a small medieval village located between the hills of Alta langa Astigiana and Alto Monferrato. Bianca Viotti and her father Guido continue the family tradition with dedication and passion. In 2000, Viotti Vini began producing Albarossa, a unique name with a unique history that began in 1939 thanks to Professor Dalmaso, who made a series of crossings between varieties that were stored in Piedmont and never planted. Fifty years later, Professor Manini of C.N.R. from Turin he paid attention to them and planted them in an experimental center called the Canone, located in Piedmont. Thus he discovered the varietal crossing Albarossa, a true local vine with black grapes, obtained from Barbera and Nebbiolo (Dronero's nebbiolo, historically grown on the slopes at the foot of the Alpes-Maritimes). The Viotti family liked the terroir expressiveness of this vine for the Piedmont region and decided to invest in it. Thus arose Albarossa, Munferié, and finally Lù, the classical method of Albarossa. Each wine is "dressed" as a special art work, created exclusively for Viotti Vini by Walter Pozzebon, an artist and family friend.
