Christina Wess is a young, energetic woman with a great sensitivity for special vineyard sites. She was undoubtedly born with this quality, as her father, Rainer Wess, has always been a passionate fan of wines showing an exceptional character of origin. Over the past two decades, the self-made winemaker Rainer has gradually built up a brilliant collection of exciting vineyard sites. The daughter and father team cultivate a total of 8 hectares in the best single vineyards in and around Krems, such as the Pfaffenberg, the Kögl and the Weinzierlberg. As is typical in the Kremstal, Christina and her father Rainer work primarily with the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling varieties. They try to minimize their own influence as much as possible and instead give the characteristics of the vineyards plenty of room.
