Château Cos d'Estournel
Chateau Cos d’Estournel is among the elite guild of producers in Medoc. Their wines are rich, sensual, refined, elegant and age wonderfully. The cellars are unique for both Bordeaux and the world. They operate entirely on the principle of gravity, which makes the process gentle and gentle on the nipples. This improves the purity of the wine and allows it to reveal its special terroir. Cos, translated from Old Gascon, means a hill of small gravel, which is common in the area. Here, however, it has significantly more gravel than clay than all the neighboring vineyards. Last but not least, the architecture of Chateau Cos d’Estournel is just as impressive as its wines. Trips to India inspired Louis Gaspard d’Estournel for its unique design. He founded the manor in 1811 and gave it its name, which it still bears today.
