Schroder & Schyler have been wine merchants since 1739 and are the oldest family business in Bordeaux. According to the non-business system, they buy, mature, bottle and sell wine from selected areas and wineries. This system dates back to the time when the ownership of the vineyards was in the hands of the royal entourage and the aristocracy, so this work was considered unworthy of their level. Schroder & Schyler is one of the last major trading houses in Bordeaux to retain family management for eight generations. The sale of Grand Cru wines represents half of the company's activity, and the other half is realized through exclusive distribution agreements with carefully selected wineries from the region.
