Domaine Bois de Boursan was founded in 1955 when Jean Versino moved with his family from Piedmont to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The name comes from the area in which it is located. Like many producers on the southern side of the Rhone Valley, they wholesale their wine to major traders in the region. This practice stopped in the 1980s, when the young Jean-Paul Versino took over.
