Colombard is a French variety native to Gascony, which is from the Sauvignon Blanc family. It is characterised by late ripening and high acidity, an attractive aromatic and flavour profile dominated by grassy and citrus notes, great freshness, elegance and drinkability.
It is commonly used as a wine included in blends with Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Chardonnay and is rarely presented as a single varietal wine. The Dvor 1 winery has taken this as a challenge, and for another year they have shown excellent results as single varietal wines.
It is well suited to a wide variety of foods from fresh salads to all sorts of white meat dishes and sauces.

Винарска изба „Двор#1“ се намира в Перущица, на адрес : "Стопански двор" 1 и е започната през 2014 г. от група приятели просто като хоби. През 2019 г. Кирил Николов купува оформилото се предприятие и провежда първата пазарно ориентирана кампания. Той е завършил художествената гимназия в Пловдив, а после право и 17 години работи като наказателен съдия. Сега е адвокат, рисува, пише, готви и е планински спасител.

Thracian valley

In this region, which includes Southern Bulgaria, the climate is temperate continental protected from northern winds thanks to Stara Planina, with good rain distribution. It includes the central parts of the Thracian lowland and parts of Sakar. Most of the red grape varieties are concentrated in this area. Mavrud, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Muscat, Pamid and others are grown. The climatic conditions of the region favour the production of rich, dense, memorable red wines, especially from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrud. Good wines from the local variety Mavrud are especially valued for their aroma and taste of small red fruits, spices and herbs.

Colombard

Коломбард е бял сорт грозде, който произхожда от региона Шарант в Западна и Централна Франция и се отглежда в района на произход и по западното крайбрежие на страната. Славата му се дължи на факта, че поради неутралността на вкуса и аромата на неговите вина се използва заедно с Ugni Blanc и Folle Blanche в производството на Cognac и Armagnac. През последните години обаче се появиха многобройни примери за леки бели вина на основата на Коломбард, както в чист вид, така и в купажи с други сортове, като например Совиньон, както в случая със ЗГУ Côtes de Gascogne в Югозападна Франция, но също и в Калифорния и Южна Африка, където се използва както за дестилация на ракия, така и за производство на наливно вино.
